Hi
Just went to get a rat out the frezzer for Slash tonight, now not sure which to get out.
Slash is 206 grammes & approx 15-18 inches long & is an 09. He has been feeding on rat fluffs up to now.
Right question is, I have got rat fluffs that weigh 20g or small weaners that weigh 30g, he has been eating the fluffs in no time at all & am now wondering whether he needs bigger prey? The fluffs work out 10% of his weight & the weaners 15%, but the weaners are no thicker than the snakes girth.
What would you give him tonight? Oh yes feeding every 5 days if that makes a difference?

Agree use them up first even if you give two of the smaller ones together. |

i am just using up the last of my rat pups/fluffs on my little girl and she is quite happy to take them two at a time...
so next one will be small weaners i guess... |

Me too, feed the larger fluffs first, then try feeding the smaller ones 2 at a time.
Every 5 days is fine. |

same here, i'd use up the smaller items first, even if it means feeding 2 per feed for a couple of feeds before moving onto the bigger ones |

I have about 5 left, but some of them are even smaller than the 20g, would you still use them all first?

It doesnt really matter than much. How many fluffs have you got left? I would just use them up first. |
