hi my name is tor and iam thinking of getting a ball python.
one of my questions are, is it true that pythons dont like 2 much space. i keep getting told different things! wat would b an ideal size for a baby ball python? i have a 4 foot viv and some people are telling me the bigger the better but some are saying it is way too big and to go and buy a plastic box 1foot by 2foot and the python can live in there for life!!! also do pythons need heat from above and below? anyway thank u and i will hope to hear from u!!!

I think who every you were talking to may have been thinking more of lizards. as they require larger spaces.
follow they sticky guidelines kashie directed you to and you be fine.

A 4' viv is larger than an adult Royal would require/want let alone a baby.

Hi and welcome :)

If you follow this sticky just above this thread entitled -

Yay! i bought a Royal! what do i do now?

- then you wont go far wrong - it will contain all the information you require and then for further info there are alot of helpful people on here who are here to answer any questions you have from that.

Hope this helps :)
