Posted - 08/09/2009 : 13:31:35 What level of humidity would be best to help a royal shed. I just picked up me second one yesterday and she is in shed so want to make it as easy as possible. When you give them a bath what sort of temperature and depth should it be? |

Posted - 09/09/2009 : 00:59:19 I second that! I keep a moss hide in at the back of there vivs 24 seven. replacing the moss every few weeks. One snake uses it the other doesn't but its there if they need the extra humidity. |

Posted - 08/09/2009 : 17:19:18 Its easier to just put in a damp hide than it is to try and regulate the whole viv humidity. Heres a link on how to make one: http://www.theroyalpython.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1399

Posted - 08/09/2009 : 15:00:29 When mine is in shed I get the humidity level above 60% by adding a moss box and a larger water bowl for him to soak in. Some cork bark can be helpful for them to rub against.
Bathing; the water should be no deeper than the thickest part of the snake (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong ;0) ) and about the temperature of the hot end of the Viv/RUB.
