i have a red bulb in my snake viv but the pet shop didnt have a small enough one, the only one they had touched the floor. I have been looking around, but i am wondering. the guard is metal, so doesnt that get hot as well, yet the snakes are ok to wrap round it.

can you calm my mind anyone

The metal will get warm, but nothing in comparison to the surface of the bulb.
