Posted - 16/09/2009 : 12:53:22 As most of the regulars know, I bought some non feeders a few months back, Boo and Who. Who was converted to a striker relatively easier, but Boo hasn't been as easy, and still isn't......
Her first sheds were pathetic, retained eye caps, retained everything, bits, pieces. I have used nearly a full bottle of shed aid on one shed alone!
Feeding wise she took to assisting relatively easily, but now, it's almost a joke, it's that easy now that all you do is put the mouse to her lips and gently push, the rest is as nature intended.
Then, two days ago, it appears my patience is starting to show results, she did a complete, in on, shed, eye caps and full body, all in one.
HAPPY DAYS
Thought this might make those that struggle realise that things do, slowly, get better. |

Posted - 05/10/2009 : 13:52:07 Time for another update......well, first off, her name has changed, to Alice (continuing my current Twilight theme), and I weighed her last night, a whole 112g!! more than double her lowest weight (which was 52g). She looks amazing now and even struck again last night (pity she missed each time)
Such a cute little thing, really captured my intrest this one, and I might let Stig have his wicked way with her in a few years time.... |

Well done Karl - Just to let you know that thanks to your assist feeding video, Ziggy has been a treat to assist feed now and similar to what you said earlier in this thread, he opens his mouth and I just pop the mouse in, all I have to do is shut down his jaws to make sure he doesnt release the mouse, but there is no stress involved here at all!!
He has also had his first shed since being with us and that was a complete one!!
Happy days!!!
Cool, good to hear |
