Boo just struck at her first ever meal!!! She scared the living crap outta me as she wasn't supposed be getting it!
Had her out as she is nice and handleable now, and had been checking her over and letting her slither around and explore. I have been defrosting mice/rats ontop of jacobs tank all day and just idlely showed her a mouse to see what she though of it..........
NO hesitation, instant strike! I nearly crapped myself as she was sitting in my hand at the time! I think Jacob will be a bit p***ed now as it was his mouse (and a decent size one at that!)
So, after 11 assist feeds in a row (all rats bar last one) we find what she likes. To roam around for 30 mins in my hands, dogs in the room, middle of the afternoon, sun shinning in the windows, stereo on in background (get the picture yet, not the quiet dark setting I normally choose) and she eats a fecking mouse that ain't hers!
Oh well, I am one happy Daddy today :) |

theme from Twilight as it happens, on a bit of a Paramore trip at the moment, mixed with Within Temptation strangely..........
Might try this more often, Stig nearly shot out of his tank, Lemony (who is a dustbin) DID come out of her tank (straight into my shirt!) and Jacob is now eating his hastily defrosted mouse, butt first as usual. |

Superb news - I know the feeling - Ziggy struck when i wasn't expecting it, a room full of kids playing late afternoon and wham he took it.
