 can i use a warm damp towel to help shed

can using a damp warm towel help to shed the last skin as the previous owner said he dont like the 8ath

you could try 'preparing' your snake for its towelling by adding a damp hide for a few days first, if necessary removing the usual hide to make sure he uses the damp one

I've had good results removing retained shed with a damp towel, so another vote from me!

Yes a warm damp towel is fine as Spor said go from head to tail and just let snakey crawl through it

yeah warm towel will help just make sure that any movement of the towel is from head to tail. not the other way round. don't have it to warm either but close to the temp of the warm end of the viv.
