Posted - 11/10/2009 : 20:55:12 hi, just started setting up a small tub for Boo when i clean her out and have been drilling holes in the plastic lid, and turned it over to realise that the sharp bits of plastic from the drilling, where on the part of the lid that is inside the tub when shut, and i dont want to get Boo hurt on it, but neither do i have any sandpaper.
is there any household item that would get rid of these sharp edges of plastic, if not i am going to have to delay cleaning Boo's viv out for a couple of days till i can get down town after college to get some
many thanks |

Posted - 12/10/2009 : 07:03:25 not as easy as you then spor i got wood chippings and so got to get all of those out, followed by a good spraying of disinfectant everywhere and a wash. Then all nice and sparkling clean i can but Little Boo Blue back in her viv and let her get on with sitting there and looking miserable while she sheds. |

Posted - 11/10/2009 : 23:52:25 glad that worked. As said above you'll be alright with out heat for the lenght of time it will take for cleaning out. i cleaned all my vivs out the other day and just held snakes while i was doing it. I have a layer of paper down and then aspen on top. so when it comes time to clean it out i can just roll it up and put it in bin. |

advice please
She'll be fine without heat as you clean her out, I put all of mine on top of the warm side of the viv in RUBs when I clean them out. |

Posted - 11/10/2009 : 21:16:38 A good tip I learned a few years ago was to take a larger drill bit in your hand and just give it a twist as if you were re-drilling each hole by hand. It will take all the sharp bits off and leave it smooth. |
