Posted - 17/10/2009 : 17:30:32 some people find misting the tank not very good, as the humidity only raises for a bit. I only mist (spray) the tank when Boo is shedding otherwise it keeps a constant humidity of 54%.
To increase humidity you could move the water bowl nearer to the warm side of the tank, get a water bowl which shows a bigger water surface area, or by adding a humidity box which has sphagnum moss in.
To decrease humidity you could move the water bowl away from the warm side, get a water bowl which has a smaller water surface area, or you could add more ventilation holes into the sides of the tank |

Normal room humidity in England is perfectly fine for Royals, however, things like large water bowls, water bowls near heat sources and some heat sources can affect the humidity your snake is exposed to.
50-60% is just about right. |
