hiya,,,,,if i use a infra red buld to heat Igbos viv what sort of thermostat do i need to use pulse or dimmer????

i dint want to go for a ceramic cuz then id have to get a light so i could see him and i was worried about over heating the viv

Its a complicated way to do it, sounds like youd be better off with a ceramic bulb :-)

thanks guys just an after thought,,,,,can i switch the light off at night and just use a heat mat or should the light be on 24/7???

Yeah as above Dimming stat is is the only one that you can really use with any light emitting heat source to maintain s constant level.

dimmer,if you use a pulse the light will flicker.You can use a ceramic with a dimming stat too.
