Yesterday I got home from work and went to check on the girls. Feather was in her warm hide sleeping off last night's mouse, but Princess was nowhere to be seen. Granted, that's pretty much her usual state, but peering into her hides with a torch revealed that no-one was home. Neither was she lurking behind her log or under the shrubbery. Then I spotted that the viv door was slightly open. Aargh! I mustn't have closed it properly when I removed her un-eaten rat in the morning.

Fortunately at the moment they're in a small room where the door is kept shut, so I knew she couldn't have gotten far. Trying to think like a snake I started off with anywhere dark and after a few minutes I saw her little face peeping out at me from under the bookcase. Phew! Needless to say this morning when I looked in on them before going to work I double checked the doors...

She didn't have a book under there with her, presumably she'd had a look and not seen anything she fancied.
