how come some royals have blue on there head sometimes

iv noticed both of mine have this.. little one not so much now as hes shed but q has a really nice shine, fingers crossed that shes coming into shed soon

its the relection (refraction?) of light on the tip of the scales, rainbow boas get their names as they are particularly good at this.

Do you mean the sheen on their heads? It looks like oil spilt on water. Thats the light.

There are no royals that have blue heads.
