whats the best way of telling them what do you look for any ideas would be good thanks were can i take it to find out ?

You can get females with large spurs and males with small spurs though. The same goes for tails, so while you can make an educated guess, it really is a guess.

apparently you can tell but its not 100% by the length of the tail after its bum and anal spurs but idealy you would want to compare it to a deffinate female.

You would need to have the snake 'popped' or preferably 'probed' by an experienced herpetologist.
