Posted - 08/01/2010 : 01:30:25 Yeah good point GP. i dont see the point in swaps and selling these snakes are my pets i have a responsibility to look after these creatures i couldnt just go and get rid of em because there is a nicer morph for sale, i only add to my colection. im looking to add a pastel CB09 to my colection £125 on CPR |

Sadly, I think quite a few snakes pack up and leave home when the owners see something they think is more interesting and sell or swap them.
and i imagine if they're adults they quite often they have a few years knocked off their age to make them more saleable...........?
which would you rather have............a 12 year old royal or a 6 year old? particularly if you're a hobbyist-breeder |

Posted - 07/01/2010 : 12:13:21 hognoses are great pets only problem is that when they bite you they take a good half hour to get off because they are rear fanged venomous they want to get your finger to those teeth and it takes a while and hurts like hell but its all part of the fun of snakes. |

Posted - 07/01/2010 : 09:18:04 I'm starting to quite fancy a hoggie, but have decided against any more snakes until Feather's fully grown. Then I'll have a better idea of whether I want another big snake or something smaller. |

Posted - 06/01/2010 : 16:12:12 ive only had mine about 3 months and in that three months we have both become very fond of each other. my hognose and water cobra i wouldnt get rid of them either but being venomous they are naturally a bit nastier. |

Posted - 06/01/2010 : 15:35:57 There was a thread on the Dark Side asking about older snakes, one lass has one that's 28, and there's a guy with two WC78's. There were various other old snakes mentioned but they weren't royals. A lot of people do seem to have young ones though.
Thread's here if you're interested.
