Posted - 26/01/2010 : 16:26:45 Still have not got my pp in the post yet. Ordered it from the roach farm ten days ago. Emailed them yesterday but have not got a reply. Will my royal be ok until it gets here? does a pp just plug in or do i need to wire it in when it eventually gets here? |

Posted - 19/01/2010 : 21:36:23 try Dave (Reptiles ink) on here he's good for guards
if the viv is dry, and the kitchen roll is dry, the water bowl is in the cool end............how on earth is your humidity so high? or more to the point, what are you using to measure it? it's not a dial hygrometer is it? |

Posted - 19/01/2010 : 21:16:41 im using kitchen towels, the only way i can get the humidity down is by turning the light on. 40 watt candle bulb. She coils round the light fitn so i dont turn it on. I cant fit a light guard because the light fitting is slanted and is screwed onto the top of the vivarium. Any ideas how i can cure it? |

Posted - 18/01/2010 : 23:01:57 humidity is pretty high......what substrate are you using? the pulse stat won't do anything about the humidity, neither will the heatmat really (except over a long period of time) |

Posted - 18/01/2010 : 16:45:22 The heat mat should cover approx 1/3-1/2 of the viv floor. Different makers do different sizes so hard to advise which one to get. Depends on where your shopping for it and what type they stock.
