Is there a section on here outlining a basic set-up for a royal?

And basic care requirements?

If not then how much does the care and houising differ to that of a corn snake?

And also while im here, is it a rumour that a royal could constric and kill its owner? I heard a guy saying it in my local reptile centre and wondered if there was any truth in it?

Thanks

Gaz

they're just not my thing.........
you can reasearch a species and see them and handle some and stuff but until you actually GET one you don't neccessarily know if its right for you........and it wasn't lol
i like bigger snakes (bigger than my corns) but i'm DEFINITELY a boa girl at heart now

GP doesn't hate royals, just advices that people get the royal in the pet shop that is labelled, 'Boa dumerili' (or any other scientific name it has, this is the one i found)

except corns are ike dustbins...........and are great to have around if you have a fussy young royal (less wastage )

corns usually tolerate more handling - of course there are exceptions

and for an adult royal the ideal heating requirements are different

To be honest, there's not a great deal of difference from Corns.

Cheers Sexy Chef.

I know ive seen a Burmese that was about 16 foot and i think he could of eaten a person easily, he was eyeing us up from in his viv, lol.

Didnt think a royal could but thought i would ask.

Will check the care sheet out thanks, couldnt find it.

as for a royal killing its owner its a slim chance. but with bigger pythons it is possible
