My normal royal is on adult mice. Would it be better to feed her rats?

Yes, a fully grown Royal could take a 1x250g rat or 6x40g mice?

Much easier (and significantly cheaper) to feed 1 item.

Theres more nutrition in a growing rat than a full grown mouse. I noticed a massive growth increase when i started feeding Rats instead of mice!!! Also Royals quickly outgrow Mice and need a larger meal. So you would have to feed 2-3 mice where you could be feeding one rat!!! Its not essential to switch straight away. You should make sure they are feeding well on the mice first and then slowly introduce a rat here and there. If you are lucky after a few feeds she will be happy to make the switch. After all its better to switch BEFORE she outgrows the mice by whitch time its gonna be really hard to make the switch (old dogs, new tricks n all that) :D
