Sabre munched her first rat this morning. Been feeding her medium mice but it's not really making a bulge and she's hunting round after only a few days so got a bag of rats.
She went straight on it and proved much more of a task over a med mouse.
Quick Bask and a drink, you can see the bulge nicely now

result,getting jealous reading about all these royals feeding,even tried the "taking it for a drive " trick yesterday. |

I have about 50 rat weiners but she won't take to them. I did a altl buy and she won't get on them. So going to try and downsize slightly as i know she has taken smaller ones |

i would say that the weight you are after would be weaner size. by me weaners start at about 25g. you could ask a store to weigh them out so you know what weight you are getting. |

I'm having a nightmare in finding them. I have trawled the south of the country ('m a sales rep so travel alot) an i can't find any. I have about 50 weiners but he won't take to them so need to find somethng smaller. Around 30-35g. but one persons small is another persons large. It's mad. |

She did, i gave in and gave her mice for a few weeks.

So that was the first of 2, and then a period where she will not take to rats.
I'm trying everything to convert her over. I'm trying desperate tatics now. Put her back into a breeding box with a brained rat. All inside her Viv.
I hate seeing her trying to get out but i have wasted nearly 20 rats now.
Any other tips? I tried defrosting with a mouse, braining, small mouse followed by a rat and although she will take a 2nd mouse she won't take a rat. |

fantastic pics,
just swopped my young albino onto rats, got lucky with the not fussed approach as well. |
