heya i was dwn on the beach looken for sum drift wood...i found sum good pices bt im wondern how do i no if its redwood or pine?? this wood is toxic isnt it or is it only if its injested?? |

If it is driftwood then bin it because of the amount of pollutants in the sea. Other than getting it thoroughly tested in a lab there is no way of knowing what chemicals have soaked into the wood. Baking will not get rid of them and they could kill your snake. |

Pine is toxic due to the Phenols it contains and can release, not sure about Redwood. Basicaly hardwood is fine, just bake it for about an hour at 160C. |
