i have been reading through some of the past posts on the forum and came across one that said when two snakes are coiled up together that their competing? i took this to mean its a bad thing? i presumed that because they coiled up together and sometimes sleeping like this that they liked each other and got on fine? i havent seen anything to suggest otherwise......

It's really best not to co-habit snakes, take a look at the sticky at the top of this section for more info. There is a real risk of two snakes turning into one big fat one, which will then likely regurge or die or both.

They don't have the emotion to 'like' each other.

They would most likely either:

Both want the same spot,
Want to mate or
Are using each other as something to hide under.
