Posted - 31/03/2010 : 14:09:01 ok not sure if this one has been asked before, on this websites care sheet, it says that the temperature needs to be 26-33 degrees, is that then the temperature inside the cold and hot hide itself of the temperature of the air outside of it?
that could be a silly question but i'm not sure, just was getting worried if my temps were correct. |

Posted - 31/03/2010 : 16:02:42 It depends on the heating setup. For my royal I'm using an IR bulb, so I have the probes as BE describes. My boa's in a RUB though so she's on a heatmat. She has a tendency to move all the substrate out of her hides and lie directly on the plastic, so for her I have the probe inside her warm hide directly on the plastic floor where she will be lying. |
