Posted - 20/06/2010 : 17:03:37 I'm just starting to set up sevvi's new viv now I've bought him all the extra things he needs from Donny (and a few more from Markham Pets on the way past). In the past I've always just weighed down his thermostat probe in the hot end of the viv. However, he is increasingly laying on the probe so the lamp heats up or managing to move it all together. Where is/ what is the best place/method of stopping him altering the placement/temperature? |

Posted - 20/06/2010 : 20:40:41 Thanks, presumably you put it on the viv wall as close as you can to the heat source? Do you leave your hot end thermometer under the bulb or with the stat probe? Hoping to get everything set up today/tomorrow so we can move him at the weekend. Saw you carrying something with you today BE, did you get a nice Birthday pressie at the show? |

Posted - 20/06/2010 : 20:03:59 i do what you do and put the edge of his hide over them, but i now people that just use aquarium sealent and put the probe where you want it and then seal over the top for heat mat and for heat bulb you would do the opposite and put a blob of sealent on the floor and then put the probe on top, never done it myself but... |
