Posted - 08/07/2010 : 11:35:19 hi, since royals are nocturnal and dont really require lights if viv is at right temperature, and lights can be added to make viv 'look nicer', would there (in your opinions) be any reason not to fit 2 or 3 very small bulbs across the top of the viv just to add lighting effects ?
of course they would be fitted properly and snake safe, and i cant think of a reason not to.
ideas / comments / recommendations folks ?
let me know about ur custom lighting tips - all ideas appreciated.
thanks |

Posted - 08/07/2010 : 19:09:29 I don't use lights although LEDs are a good way of doing that, prefer to use infra red lamps and can usually see my snakes with them :) |

Posted - 08/07/2010 : 18:33:53 i use led lighting in my corn vivs. cheap and safe. and have no effect on temp. even a couple of small 25w lamps could effect your heat |

Posted - 08/07/2010 : 16:48:24 I'm currently running led strips in my boa's viv. Also used a conventional energy saving bulb. But i must say that the exo terra strips give a much better spread and i will put the boa onto a strip soon as i personally think the light is all round better |
