They look a little off to me...
They feel sort of sticky too

My last pup was nice and pink, and rat shaped too
These ones kind of look like something from 'Silent Hill'

Are they good to feed or should i just bin them?

you want to be aiming for prey around 10-15% of the snakes body weight, and welly is right it is a us chart,i forgot to mention that but just wanted to show the pics of differant stages

I ignore what they're called (the four shops I use all have different nomenclature for the frozen food they sell), just go by weight. If in doubt, ask them to weigh them for you or take your scales with you. I've had too many rows with the OH when he comes back with food too big or too small to go by name.

The pictures are of US sizes

Looking through the Livefoods catalogue that I have from Peregrine Livefoods, my mates a salesman for them, the weights do not match up with what is shown in the pics above.

Rat pups are 4-10g

Fuzzies are similar - 11-25g

Then it goes on to small weaners, which I guess are the equivalent of rat pups on Lee's table - 26-50g

So I guess the petstores are selling it as what they are being sold it as, but what a lot of us are thinking is a rat pup is actually a pinkie.

Now I really don't know what to give him!

I might just move him up one size and see how he goes, I can always feed him two. I know he'll eat it!

Interesting pictures of the sizes there, I have been buying what I believed to be rat pups, but it looks like they are the smallest thing on there!

I have been concerned that I haven't been feeding him big enough food. I am going to get more food from a friend, what size do you advise for a 2 month old, who eats like a pig?

Have a look in the pics to see him feeding and let me know.

Thanks

The OP's photo is how any rat pups I've ever bought have been. They do vary in size though, and some have a little fur. It's all my Mexican Milk will eat. I've tried him with the next size up but he can't manage them.

if they are meant to be pups i would take them back,as their way to small, pups have fur on.look at the top photo and there rats, pups are the 3rd ones along

I haven't got anything helpful to contribute, but that last sentence cracked me up a good 'un.
Can I also say that I love the fact a geology text book has been used to hold the Silent Hill rodents

Not sure on how big he is, but he's about a month old.

As a chef of over 25 years, if meat is sticky i`d bin it.

we asked for rats and i'm pretty sure they are toobig to be mice - they are huge (for babies anyways)

They must be mutant zombie beasts

Thank you though
