hello guys and girls,

just wondering on how feel about feeding day old chicks to your snake, i got 1 the other day and havent fed him it yet. just wondering what you all think about it?

ok guys thanks for the advice ill stick to rats, i have sawm a few in some royal vivs in oet hops n that.

I do feed chicks to my king snakes, but not to the royal. Mainly because royals in the wild would be on a mainly rodent only diet, so I try to replicate that. Kings are different because they would eat more of a variety in their natural environment.

I think if you did feed him a chick it wouldn't do him any harm, although it probably isn't as good for him as a rodent would be and there's always that risk that it might disrupt his feeding pattern.

Plus chick poo is far more disgusting and runny than rat poo!
