Thats Orlina been here for 2 weeks now. She doesnt come out untill 12.30 at night but when she's out she's very active and last week we started opening the viv and give her the option to come out which she always does. When she's out she is very relaxed, I always take her hides out to give her the chance to go in if she wants but she never does she's very nosey (she's a woman say no more lol). The thing is I want to take her out during the day to give her exercise and more room and smells to explore without being up till 2am. How would I do this?
Yesterday I went in and slowly took her hide off her to wake her but she wouldnt move just sat there the same, I dont want to just lift her straight out. I started stroking a bit of her back and she was tensing up, which I expected, then after a minute she relaxed so I stroked another part of her and she never moved so she must have realised I was no threat.
The way she was facing there was no way she could bite me, Im not scared of a bite its more making her stressed and feeling threatened enough to strike that I dont want.
Should I just do this every day until she comes out? Or shouldI just lift her to show her she's not in danger when lifted? She wakes up if I tap on her hide but she goes straight into feeding mode. |

Even at the warm side she should still feel fairly cool to you as you're probably around 37C and she'll be around 32C. |

Just had her out. Very active. kept her out for 20 mins then took her to her viv and she wouldnt go back in lol but when she did she stopped and took a big drink so she must be ok, i was still holding her when she done it. she was right cold though but she likes her cool side but has the option of warming herself up so she must be happy enough, for being cold it didnt slow her down any |
