LOL - not as bad as corns though - I'm sick and tired of cleaning big wet dumps off silk plants etc. I've told them that if they carry on like this they're getting modern minimalist apartments ie rubs with cardboard tubes and kitchen roll. (Only kidding - got to love the filthy little gits!) |

Posted - 24/11/2010 : 07:53:15 congrats, we now expect pics of the little beauty like bats sed, just leave him till his next feeding day, whether that be 7 days or 5 days away (depending on how often you are feeding) and try him again, he might still be settling in so no need to worry |

Posted - 23/11/2010 : 19:30:47 Congrats - the damp hide paid off then!
If she refused her feed today, then wait the usual amount of days you give her between feeds and try her again; she's a royal - she won't starve. |

Cool video! Gorgeous snake and gorgeous camerawork too - don't think I've ever seen video where the snake's been filmed right from the start and in such detail. Very nice! |

Posted - 23/11/2010 : 09:49:28 Some of my Royals will visit and stay in their wet boxes for a week or more before they shed so she's in the right place for a good shed to follow :) |

Posted - 22/11/2010 : 23:09:33 Yes - she will know what to do. Loads of people put damp hides in - and the snakes won't use them! So if she wants to stay in there - clever lass! |

Posted - 22/11/2010 : 21:09:33 LOL - I have - my snakes are exhibitionists!!
(Seriously though, I came down one morning at 5am just to check all was well and Cy, who I knew was going to shed, was out, and whether it was me putting the light on or what, immediately cruised across to her driftwood and started rubbing her nose ...)
I'm either psychic, or they are, or just very lucky!
It is awesome, when you see it. |

Posted - 22/11/2010 : 20:06:40 Yup - not a silly question at all - at least you didn't do what I did and offer the little guy lunch without first checking on him ...
Anyone in the Wakefield area interested in a large mouse, never used, with tong marks?
Only kidding!
(Corn feeding day yesterday - d'oh!) |

Posted - 22/11/2010 : 19:53:19 Yep, shed on the way, in a few days his eyes will clear and he will almost look back to normal, then a few days later he will shed. |
