I put a rat pup on a little tin tray last night, put it in his viv just infront of the hide, got up this morning and its gone!

SO incredibly relieved, firstly its his first feed with me, and secondly he eats rats. I cannot describe just how happy I am now.

Congrats and double congrats!!

OK I have waited 48 hours to confirm this fact. He did indeed eat the rat pup I was a bit concerned he had just dragged it into his hide but nope, its gone. I didn't want to disturb him, last thing I needed was a regurge. Now if you'll excuse me, a victory dance is in order.

I dont see the problem in leaving the rat in the viv for the royal overnight, this is what i have to do with one of my royals.

Congrats! Brilliant feeling isn't it? I bet Duke's feeling pretty smug too.

I'll give him pups for a couple of feeds then start working my way up to weaners which is what he is supposed to be on. I am still beaming, just so happy, I know now that he is getting there and I'm doing what I should be.
