i would try and get her on to rats, as bats said much better for her. it will be easier getting her onto them at a young age rather than trying to do it when she is older, i have had to get two adult royals onto rats in the past as they were only fed mice and it took a long while doing it

Hi, congrats on your royal - love the name.

Don't worry about her being slow to feed - they are shy beasties and often need time to settle in. Leave her till next feeding day and for the time being stick to her usual feeding schedule/procedure and whatever prey she's accustomed to.

Read your other post re rats - yes, rats are best for royals, both nutrition-wise and size-wise (going to be far easier, when the snake is full-grown, to feed one rat instead of several mice) but just for now I'd personally let her settle and get used to you and her new home.

All the best.

Sounds like a typical royal. What are you trying her with at the moment?
