As a few of you may know i was worried about the humidity in Claudia's viv being too low. Well last night i came home from work and when i checked on Claudia i found this...

i was really proud of her for shedding so well. She went into blue 5 days ago and i could see she was really uncomfortable and not happy. From her behaviour and the problems i thought i had with humidity i was expecting a difficult shed.
What's more she was very playful last night "running" all round her viv and climbing the sticks in there i hadn't seen her so active before. So well done Claudia.

so in the 6 weeks iv'e had her she is eating well, comfortable in her viv and now she's shed.
The next step is to get her onto rats.
Thanks to all on here for all the advice so far and i'm sure Claudia thanks you too.

She is indeed. Love them at that age lol. So that means a rodent size of 16g approx. If you're in any doubt the shop should weigh them for you. A rat pink, or pup, weighs approx 6g, a rat fluff 19g - perhaps the shop could pick you out a very small one; they're not uniform. I'm assuming at present she's on small mice at 9g approx. (Again I'm quoting weights given by my suppplier, I realise they vary.)

Some snakes once out of hatchling stage refuse pinkies because, as you noted, they look bald. (Having said that one of my adult corns coiled round a mouse pink lol.)

All the best with her.

She's 110 grams.
I compared rat fluff n weaner sizes to
the mouse size she takes in the shop
and the smallest fluff was twice the size, so
way to big.
She's only a baby bless her.

What is her weight? There are several sizes of rat weaner, and below that size are the rat fluffs. 10/15% of the snake's weight is a good feeding guide; according to my supplier (they vary) a rat pup is 20g and a small weaner 37g approx.

So I offered her a mouse this evening and guess what.
She turned her nose up at it. Can't say I'm surprised.
I had to offer a pinky as she's not quite big enough
For a weaner yet. I think it was just too
different for her, being bald n' all.
I think I'll wait n' try again in a few months
once she's big enough to take a "furry one"

Sticks. I figured someone would clock the
jacket. It wasn't a plant, just the nearest dark
thing I could use to show off the skin in the
photo.
As for the Cherry Tree, I know it but I don't get there
very often as I work most weekends...which really
sucks as I miss a lot meets.

Congrats and well done Claudia!

Sounds like you've got everything spot on, took me ages to get Shahi shedding instead of shredding lol
