hi im in the process of setting up a bigger viv for monty when he gets bigger. ive bought a sandplasted vine and was just wondering how people secure thease to the side of vivs.I can just wedge it against the corner but is there a better way of securing it incase the little guy fancies some climbing?

Mine are just wrapped around his branch. I have different sizes wrapped around that and eachother so they support his weight when he's up there.

cool thanks think i will just use the threaded eye idea with some gardening string. at least that way it can be easily removed if needed many thanks.

if the vine is the sandblasted grapevine then no nails usually does the job very well.

Or just use the little clips that hold your telephone cable to the wall.

I use screw eyes from B&Q - explanatory pics to follow in a minute

Oh boy it's easier posting pics than explaining ...all you do is screw them into side of viv and secure them with thick string or a cable tie ...keep tie ends very short though just in case the snake decides to feed up there and gets anything caught in its mouth.
