Ok another little question, I've researched and most of the internet sites have come across say that young pythons tend to shed about once a month, well I've had Merlin now for at least a month but probably going on for two months with NO sign of him shedding, is this a sign of an issue??? |

LOL - sod's law being what it is - bet you anything you find him in blue tomorrow - snakes are crafty like that! |

Posted - 30/11/2011 : 18:01:32 Right, after a bit of delving in chaotic first snake diary:-
Shahi, cf10, the only royal I've bought as a hatchling, came on 20 Jul 10 and shed on 27 Jul.
A slow start at feeding; thereafter a gannet! Subsequent sheds on:-
6/9/10 15/10/10 27/11/10
And after that he started the fast because he was a Man. He's now 1200g and even more of a Man lol!
So I reckon that's every 6 weeks or so as a greedily eating baby - BUT they are all different; they eat and grow at different rates and there is no hard and fast rule. Hope this helps and all the best with yuor little guy. |
