Hi guys, I got given my royal and set up yesterday, she's in a 4 ft viv and on a mat and stat but tonight I'm installing a ir lamp and guard. My question is, the viv is 19 inch high, when I screw the guard to the roof the bottom of the guard will be only 8 inches from the floor of the viv,is this ok being so low?( the smaller guard was too small for the bulb).

There isn't exactly an alternative, my guards aren't very high off the ground but they are there doing the job required so are totally safe. Just keep the immediate area under the bulb free from decor and it will be fine.

dont see a problem with it being a bit low. the guard in my small 3ft viv is about half the hight of the viv
