Congrats on getting him on to rats! A medium weaner, according to one of my suppliers, is the same weight as an XL mouse, but weaner weights do vary from supplier to supplier, I know.

He may be ready to move up a size in food - a quick way to judge by eye is to select a rat whose girth is no bigger than the snake's.

Otherwise Blackecho's feeding according to weight guide is good -

0-400g, feed every 5 days
400-800g - feed every 7 days
800-1200g - every 10 days
1200g+ - every 14 days

Feed 10/15% of the snake's bodyweight.

Hope this helps. Even if he does need a larger prey size, I would leave him for now, and just give him a larger meal on his next feeding day.
