I was just wondering if it would cause confusion to swop the hot end and cold end of a viv around?
I have a ceramic fitting one end and a normal fitting with infrared the other but as the ceramic seems to achieve the higher temperature easier it would make sense to have that the hot end rather than mess about swooping fittings etc.
Any thoughts? Would they just get used to the change?

Yes the cold end seems to be more like 21-23c with just the one heat source, I'm just a bit paranoid when it comes to heat as all 3 snakes I have purchased over the last 3 years have had incorrect set ups. Thought it wouldn't do any harm keeping them both as they are both statted.
Thanks for the quick reply!

I don't think it matters at all - if you had to move a snake to a new viv with the warm and cold ends reversed, it would adapt without thinking. But you certainly don't need a heat source at either end - best take the IR out and let the ceramic do its job if that's the most satisfactory, and the cool end temps ought to take care of themselves unless the room is very cold.
