hi guys this is my 1st thread on here im new to forums but have had reptiles all my life i have a royal an he came in a tub which he has outgrown and i have a spare viv and a bigger tub....which do they do best in my interest is what is best for the snake??

Yes, as Don and James have said, it does depend on the snake's tastes - my lot seem to like their vivs though.

Depends on the royal really. Some may do fine in vivariums/tubs twice the size of them. And some won't. Like my male pastel. He gets stressed out and won't eat if he's in too big of an enclosure. Whereas my female is doing fine in a 4ft viv.

Depends on the royal imo, for mine i used a tub equal or slightly bigger than the snakes length and this worked well for me but maybe not for others.

mine has been in a 3ft viv since he was about 2 1/2 feet and he has always been happy in there.
