Hey people. Wondering if you could help me with something. Went to get my royal out just and noticed he was very jumpy. Like normally just before I pick him up I stroke his back a little. But he's really flinching and tensing up now. I usually just handle him in the afternoon. Could he be rather tetchy because he isnt normally handled at this time? And should I still go ahead and pick him up or just leave him to it?

Ah ok thanks guys. I don't think he's gonna go in to shed, must of just had a bad day. Tough life sitting in a nice warm hide all day aye? Lol

i think sometimes thay just have bad days. my girl was a bit hesetant the other day and normaly she pretty much jumps out the rub to be handeld. my bee almost always gives me a hiss but recently he's been very cooperative... go figure!

If he's normally fine, maybe he's coming up to shed. Their eyes cloud over so they can't see as well which can make them twitchy. Mine was like that just before he shed last.

Lol the little git! But you pick him up anyway? And he just calms down? I'll have to just pick mine up next time. Show him who's boss lol. Or I may just stick to handling him in the afternoon!

Oh mine proper lifts his head up and starts puffing himself up... He's actually banged his face into his viv's doors a couple of times trying to get me!

No not struck. Don't even look like he's going to. He's just really jumpy. Think I'll just leave him til tomorrow afternoon when I usually handle him. Think I've freaked him out a bit!

Yeah i know what you mean... Has he actually struck at you yet...? Mines tried having me loads of times! Little bugger! He's fine with everyone else!
