Posted - 16/01/2012 : 01:07:44 Hey folks. My girlfriends brother is selling his baby royal and I'm quite keen to add to my collection, however, I can't keep another snake at my house, my girlfriend says I can keep it in her bedroom and here is what I think could be a problem. She has got a hamster in her room, I'm thinking that if I bought it and kept it in the same room as the hamster that it would constantly be able to smell it, could this make it constantly in feeding mode? And therefore make handling tricky? Sorry for rambling on lol

Posted - 16/01/2012 : 11:46:59 LOL - seems to be the season - I'm getting a new addition pretty soon myself!
I don't think it would be a problem with the hamster - in fact I read a post a while back by Blackecho, I think it was, about how he'd looked after a hamster for a while, and kept it in the snake room, and yes, the snakes fed very well, but he doesn't report any handling problems - in fact he recommended keeping a hammy in he same room as a royal to keep them feeding. I'll try and dig the link out for you.
Hope you get your new royal!
