Hi people, I feed my royal once a week on large/ Xl mice and she did not eat last monday. Today I bought a weaner rat as I want to get her on rats asap, she looked interested but never done anything but shy away. I tried everything to get her to have a go at the rat like warming the head of the rat & even braining the rat ( was horrid hope I dont need to do that again lol) But im wandering if I should just stick with the rats and she will eat when she is hungry or go back to the mice? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers :) |

bit gross but you can also scent the rat with mouse blood. this worked well for my bull snake who was fed on mice before i got him |

Hi Mark,
I have read on here that it can hep if you thaw a mouse and rat together, the rat will carry mouse scent.
