Posted - 05/02/2012 : 21:32:44 Thanks guys. The eye caps are off no problem just the other half is being a bugger! Port little lad. I can still here him rustling about in his faun now. I'll try the pillowcase trick as well. Damn, why can't they be as simple as corns lol! |

Posted - 05/02/2012 : 21:27:42 Poor chap! If he's not too exhausted, the 'pillowcase bath' (20 minutes in a damp pillowcase, tied at the top, in a ventilated rub, supervised) could help; for a tough royal shed, you might have to try this twice.
It's good that his eyecaps are off, and if his tailtip was off too then I wouldn't worry too much - but from what you say it's still there?
What I'd personally do would be to delay his meal, try the pillowcase bath, and then let him rest overnight before eating. But that's just my personal opinion - other people might have more suggestions.
All the very best with him, hope the shed comes off soon. |

Posted - 05/02/2012 : 21:24:14 The worst bit is off, with eye caps attached which is good. Best thing you can do is put a damp hide in on the warm side and see how he goes for a day or so with that, and if still no improvement then the damp pillowcase / towel method (allowing them to stay in case or towel ad move through, gently removing skin) or leaving them to bath in a shallow tub of water to help. |
