Posted - 14/02/2012 : 13:50:19 Sorry if this sounds dumb but is a mouse fluff the same as a fuzzy? Im looking into buying food online but the sizes only say pinky, fuzzy, small mouse etc... So i dont wanna buy a fuzzy for it to be too big. Its for a 7 corn snake.
Also wheres best to buy online? |

Can you believe that?!
Oh no! It sounds like that episode on Snakebyte TV where they joked about people being sold the wrong snakes - the guy who wanted a boa got sold a corn and I think it was George who played the part of a customer who asked for something small and manageable and came out staggering under the weight of a Burm ...
Is that the latest designer pet? The teacup royal python lol? |

Posted - 14/02/2012 : 14:30:54 I buy from Triple 8 reptiles..they came out the cheapest for 25 mice, plus they have a phone number and they are always extremely helpful regarding sizes. They breed and stock 100's of snakes so yeah I trust them :) |

Posted - 14/02/2012 : 14:16:29 Hi, yes they're the same. For some reason I see them usually referred to as mouse fuzzy and rat fluff, but it's exactly the same stage of development and as you've seen the terms are interchangeable.
My favourite online frozen place is A&N Frozen of Suffolk (they sell direct to the public too.)
Weights of mice from them - approximate weights
Mouse pink - 1.8g Large mouse pink - 3.5g Fluffs or fuzzies - 5.3g Jumper mice - 7.5g Small mice - 9.2g Medium mice - 20g Ex-breeder/jumbo - 45g
Unfortunately they're so popular that half the time they're out of stock, although they're very good about advising when stock will be in and reserving it for you.
I also like TSM - but, trouble is, the cheapest way to buy from both these companies is to buy in bulk, which isn't always feasible unless you've got a lot of snakes and a lot of freezer room, or can club together with a friend or friends to share a consignment.
