Hi guys, i noticed yesterday and its the same today that when my lil kairo's tail is bent his manhood protrudes a little bit, is this normal for a baby royal (i never noticed anything like that with george)

or is it possible that some damage has been done when he was sexed in the shop?

Aww thanks, Lorraine - but no way am I an expert!

Yes, I'd keep an eye on it, and any doubts, take him to the vet.

It doesn't seem to hurt him and he had a nice tidy bowel movement so im not worried at this point, but any and all opinions are valid and appreciated

Thanks bats, yea when his tail is straight it looks normal, its just when he curls his tail up that it looks weird

I've heard of male royals doing this - although never seen it myself. I'd think that if, when his tail is straight, if his vent looks like the usual 'seamless' snake vent, he should be ok, but if his bits keep hanging out, might be a good idea to get a vet to take a look as unfortunately there is such a thing as prolapse. (This can be cured.)

Do hope all is well with him.
