I am so happy because my python took his food today.
i done as advised, i let the hopper defrost for a couple of hours then warmed it up with the hair dryer.
i then dangled it outside his hide which he sniffed around and stiked at it. he wrapped his himself around and started eating from the backend (tail first) he slowly guzzled it down, i noticed abit of beach chip was attached to the hopper. the hopper was down but the beach chip was just inside his mouth and he eventually swallowed abit. he then went climbling up his tree and been there since.
my main question is my python going to be ok although he swallowed a bit of beach chip?
many thanks in advance.
cheers
Dale

I feed Duke in his viv on orchid bark, I use the more fine pieces (about beech chip sized) so that should he eat a bit it wont do any damage and they digest bone a little bit of wood will be broken down to fibres in no time at all. Plus teeth and claws dont always break down and these sharp items pass through without incident.
