I'm curious to know often people on here feed their snakes.
I don't have set days for feeding mine tend to get fed between 7 to 10 days I normally wait until I see them out hunting before offering.
I used to feed my every Sunday but found they were get rather obese and was advised to feed them less by my local reptile shop.

I feed every 7-10 days depending on the snake. My male Royal would probably eat every day if i let him so sometimes I'll feed him more like 5-6 days if he's really hunting! Always a good 'dustbin' snake if any of my others refuse! lol |

I'm an every Sunday feeder too. Well I say that Duke is actually every ten days but since the fast I've been feeding less rat more often but once upto size he'll be back to every 10 days. |

like Toggsy, I tend to feed them when they appear to be hunting for food. Some royals will eat and eat if offered so easy to get overweight. But, at the same time, its every 10days minimum |

Every Sunday for me. Will go to ten days when he goes to the next size rat. |

Hi, when I joined this forum I found a guide by Blackecho, who's an admin person on here, and have followed it ever since for the royals -
royal weight 0-400g - feed every 5 days
400-800g - every 7 days
800-1200g - every 10 days
1200g+ - every 14 days
Feed 10/15% of royal's weight.
This has worked well for me. |
