Hmm I put Slinky on the scales, ok so he'd done a poo but even so..

The reading I got was 195g, but for weeks now he's been 500. He never misses a feed so I can't see that he lost that much if at all. I weighed a packet that I knew to be 140g and that's what the scales showed, so it can't be faulty scales.

I'm wondering whether I had them set for grams before, but if I hadn't i'm not the only one.

I'll weigh him again Tues..can't now as he's just fed.

957 'Blah's that must have taken you ages with cut and paste lol.

I got my snakes confused, I would have thought Slinky would have been a bit more than Sanke in weight but in the grand scale of things I wouldn't worry about the actual weights been off, Slink looks very healthy, chunky and perfectly Royal.

Debate aside though, Royals do better on rats, you can see the difference when mice fed Royals are switched to Rats. It will be interesting to see what actual evidence comes up in your debate thing.

No, joking apart, I go by my own research, experience and the results I see in my snakes, but have fun with the debate.

HAHA yeah I agree with that lol.

Fea is around a similar size to Sanke, and she is 533 grams when last weighed so its duff scales or a dodgy reading. There is no way a Boa that size is 195 grams unless he is like an aero inside, lol. They are solid muscle bound snakes and they weigh a ton for that reason.

Hi janie,
I'm sure if he lost nearly 400 gms you would notice, he would
Look visibly different
I bet you had the scales set on a different setting.
