Hi folks,
sorry for being lazy and not reading through other threads that would probably tell me the answer.

My lovely snake (Sky) shed her skin for the first time on Thursday, but she has not managed to get rid of the last little bit on her tail. I have tried sort of wetting it with kitchen paper and even tried a little olive oil, but still can't get the skin off. How worried and persistent should I be about getting this tip off?

She has grown 4cm and gained 10g since getting her :)

Another easier way than holding the snake immobile is get a pillowcase, wet it with warm water, wring it out a bit and stick snakey inside the case and let him have a good wriggle about in there for about 20 minutes. You can use your hands on the case to manipulate it so the snake has to wriggle through tight bits and that stubborn tail tip should pop off

hold a damp cloth around the tail tip for a while then gently pull it back an it should roll off once its nice an wet.

if the tail tip gets retained over several sheds they could lose the tail tip but that will take a while so no need to panic it will gome off their just a bit stubbourn sometimes
