Posted - 24/03/2012 : 16:39:00 And I realise how very naughty I've been not weighing Shahi more often over the winter, but checking over the huge fat lump every so often, didn't really give me any cause to worry about his weight ...He's a biiig lad and looks like he's blue when I weighed him just now; hopefully he will shed and start eating after that. |

Posted - 24/03/2012 : 16:33:59 I read a while back that more than 10% can be cause for alarm, but I may be wrong; last winter Saada lost just under 10% and she's been fine, eating well all spring, summer, autumn and replacing that weight and more. She's still fasting but has snacked on occasion. Usually they may not lose much weight at all.
Shahi (cf10) hasn't eaten for 5 months; his weight on 25/10/11 was 1200g.
4/11/11 - 1200g
24/3/12 - 1136g
So you see how little they can lose, even in 5 months.
