Posted - 02/04/2012 : 20:12:20 Hi all,i offered winston a rat fluff for his feeding time today,but he did not want to know it.last week was the first time he had a rat,which he strikes at straight away and ate. he had been on large mice before that.today he just sniffed the rat and turned away i tried a few times but no joy.I have some mice still in freezer in a bag,i emptied them out put rat in bag and rubbed it about,took it out warmed head of rat in water offered it and winston stikes at it straight away,do you think the smell of rat put him off his food because soon as it smelled of mice he was searching for it.

Posted - 02/04/2012 : 20:34:27 when he took his first rat last week,i thought whats all the fuss about changeing from mice to rats now i know why.
