Posted - 19/05/2012 : 14:47:10 This is the first time I've posted pictures, so I'll be amazed if it works!
I've set my Viv up this morning ready for my Pastel coming next week, I've adapted the viv from it's previous use of "occasional home to escape artist amel corn"
Can anyone see anything that is wrong with it, or needs changing/adding to?
This is my first royal, so all advice gratefully recieved.
Many Thanks

Posted - 20/05/2012 : 10:27:59 I use screw eyes to attach the plants and discard the useless suckers. Even bog standard fake plastic can look a bit more lifelike if it's craftily arranged - only then of course the snake will investigate and rearrange it for you.
Beautiful viv - yeah, a bit more cover and you've cracked it. |

I'm a complete novice but would wholeheartedly agree with this - whack a load of plants in there, just draped over all your hides and the branches, to make it nice and cosy for your pastel |

Posted - 19/05/2012 : 15:29:17 He has done an excellent job. I would just put 1 or 2 on the side that the heat bulb isn't, that way the air will circulate better lower down. |

Posted - 19/05/2012 : 15:15:10 ok, would it be enough if I put one either side at the bottom, the same as I have at the top?
It used to be a coffee table, my friend is a carpenter, so when the Mrs wanted rid of the coffee table I enlisted his services, I think he's done a grand job. |

One thing I cant see is vents in the bottom, you ideally need one in the bottom so that as the hot air goes out of the top vents it sucks cooler clean/fresh air in through the bottom one. |
