Posted - 20/05/2012 : 00:20:04 I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that in the bottom of the water bowl there seems to be some small white 'specs'. They are not alive or anything, and I know they are not mites, which are black if i'm correct? My royal is eating fine, and is perfectly in good health.
Has anyone else experienced this, or any idea what it could be? |

Posted - 20/05/2012 : 01:43:33 Yep, I get them, welcome to the wonderful creatures we call springtails. They keep damp places clean and free from fungi and mould. Don't worry about them, if you want them gone just dry our the area round the bowl and wash it daily but they are a herps friend I have them keeping my insect colonies clean too. |
